Taipei, Jan. 15, 2019— Stepping into AI generation, expert of edge AI computing solutions provider Aetina Corporation cooperate with 3D machine vision expert LIPS, showing the most potent VID (video-image-detection) application of 3D facial recognition that can enhance the ability of liveness identification in the meanwhile ensure the key security in the smart city.

Aetina’s carrier board liberates the power of hundreds of CUDA cores and 1.5 TFLOPS from Nvidia Jetson, makes a high-performance Jetson edge AI computing system. Based on the powerful energy, 3D facial recognition solution limits the processing time down to less than 0.3 seconds per person. In the meanwhile, the 3D recognition provides deep learning face features for the first-tier accuracy, 99.6% on LFW score.
Moreover, Aetina Jetson edge AI computing system can support up to 20,000 enterprise level databases; the system was designed in a compact and small form factor with industrial-grade components used. Peripheral I/O modules, MIPI camera modules and wide temperature technology from -25°C to +80°C are equipped in Aetina’s system, which brings flexibility for various to co-work with Jetson platform. “We integrate the hardware’s advantages with eco-partners’ software,” said Joe Lo, the general manager of Aetina, “And our value-add features improve it to be ideally suited for space-constrained embedded AI system in all kinds of industrials.”
