- Input EDP Peak (Input EDPp)
Input EDPp is defined as the maximum instantaneous input current of the graphics subsystem, measured over a 400-microsecond (µs) period with a 50-millisecond (ms) moving average.
For MXM designs, the input current is measured at the PWR_SRC pins of the MXM connector.
The maximum duration of the Input EDPp current is 50 ms.
Under worst-case conditions exceeding this duration, the software power-capping mechanism will be triggered to reduce power consumption by lowering the VF (voltage–frequency) operating point until the average current level returns to the EDPc range.
